that one can change the rotation rate. Demonstrate pulsation.
Play sound clips from various pulsars.
Instructions: Discuss isotropic vs non-isotropic (beamed) light sources. Then show demo. Play with the rotation rate and get student to measure the period and frequency. Then play various sound clips of pulsars.
