Description: A laser is shone on an LED, and the voltage across the LED is measured. Different wavelengths of light will give different voltages.
Instructions: Place LED into breadboard. Connect LED to voltmeter via banana cables and alligator clips. Shine laser directly onto the LED (relatively close and directly above it works best). Show the students the reading on the voltmeter. Swap lasers/LEDs if desired.
